My New Phone!!

Guess whats new this new years!!

I got a new Phone!! And I am really proud of it too... Not because of the phone but because its the first time I am buying some thing like this on my own.. i.e My own money!!

Its Sony Ericsson K790i. I did some research found that it was in my price range.. read a lot of reviews and fell in love with it... I just couldn't wait till I got my salary to go get it... So on 31th December "Last year", as soon as the salary was credited, i pestered my friend Ajas who was usual making big plans for the night, to go with me to buy the phone... He came!! and we went around almost all the shops in trivandrum(With guidence from Karthik) to see if they have it.. and guess what no one had it!! 'They dont have stock', 'sony stopped the phone' blah blah..

The more shops we went the more desperate I became.. We went around town almost 2 hours until finally I got the phone!! I was so happy...

And so I started the new years with new phone, and very low bank balance... But I was happy and was showing off my new phone any chance i got, BTW this is a very large step up for me, my last phone was a nokia 1600..

Now getting to the real intention of this blog!!

I went to office nextday, and was just playing with the phone.. Ppl noticed, as I hoped they would.. Then the bloody comments started coming!!

K790i?? Isnt that an old model??
I said: Yeah, Its been 2 years..
Then Why did u take it??
I said: Hmm!! I liked it very much. The reviews are good!!
Then I got that look!! r u dumb??
I thought to myself: HUH??? Y NOT??? Cant I take the phone I like?

Later
This doesnt have 3G right?
I Said: Dont think so!!
I thought to myself: hmm!! 3G??? What is that for?? Oh am I stupid??
Why didnt you take a 3G phone!!
I said: ......
I thought to myself: I never felt I needed it!! wont be missing what you dont know!!

Then More Later after few more comments, another guy!!

I Said: ____ rs
What?? R u mad I could have got u that for 2000 bugs less.
I Said: really!! hmm
I thought to myself: FUCK OFF!!

Hey I love this phone!! No matter what anyone says..
I got an advice from a friend recently..

"When you are going for a new phone, select one, fall in love with it, go get it, and dont give a rat's ass about the comments from others"

So true!!
